Messaging

Automated emails, campaigns, sequences, in-portal announcements, resources, and sending from your own domain.

Everything your partners hear from you lives under Messaging: the emails we send on your behalf, the campaigns you send yourself, and the announcements inside the portal. The one exception is the partner sign-in code, which always goes from AffiliateRail's own domain and cannot be edited, because login email is the one message that must never fail deliverability.

Automated emails

Eleven templates cover the program's lifecycle: welcome, first referral, new referral, payout sent, payout failed, invitation, application received, approved and declined, commission reversed, and customer enrolled. Each fires on its event with the partner's numbers filled in.

On Grow and above the templates are yours to edit, per language: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch and Japanese, with a reset back to the default at any time. A few templates that partners rely on to know money moved cannot be switched off.

Campaigns

One-off email to a chosen audience: everyone, one or more groups, one or more tags, or hand-picked partners, with a live recipient count as you choose. The composer previews the email as you write, and can carry a button into the portal. Send now or schedule; every step saves the draft. After sending, the campaign page shows deliveries, opens and bounces, and the bounce list names who never got it.

Sequences

Emails that go out on their own when something happens to a partner:

  • When a partner is approved: the onboarding series.
  • When a partner goes quiet: no clicks or sales for a threshold you set.
  • After a first commission: the moment they are most persuadable to do more.

Each step has its own delay ("straight away", "after 3 days"), and every step goes out as an ordinary campaign, so it uses your sending domain and lands in the campaign list with its own delivery numbers. Enrolment stops itself for the right reasons, shown in plain words: the partner started promoting, earned, bounced, unsubscribed, or you took them out.

Notification centre

Announcements inside the portal rather than in the inbox: a popover or a bubble, scoped by group and tag, with start and end dates and seen and dismissed counts. Use it for the things email is too heavy for: a new resource, a promotion window, a price change partners should mention.

Resources

Resources is the shelf your partners draw from: files and links, in folders, scoped by group and tag (leave both empty and everyone sees it), published or held back. The same rows render on the portal's Resources page.

Give partners something to send goes further: it reads your website and drafts emails, posts, banners and deep links in your colours, for you to review and publish. A partner with ready-made material promotes this week, not "when they get to it".

Your sending domain

Campaigns and sequences send from your own domain once you verify it under Messaging, Sending domain: a few DNS records, checked in place. Until then, sends use a shared address; after it, replies and reputation are yours.
