# AffiliateRail documentation

Run an affiliate program for your SaaS: the dashboard, the tracking script, the partner portal, the REST API and the MCP server.

AffiliateRail is affiliate program software for SaaS founders. Here's how it works:

- Partners share links to your site.
- The customers they send pay you through Stripe or Paddle.
- We work out who earned what.
- Your own PayPal or Wise account pays your partners.

We never hold the money and take no cut of it.

## If a page here doesn't answer it

Open the chat bubble in the bottom corner of your dashboard. It goes straight to Jimi, who built
AffiliateRail. It already knows your plan, your program and the screen you were on. So start with
what happened.

## For machines

The API publishes its whole contract as text at [api.affiliaterail.com/llms.txt](https://api.affiliaterail.com/llms.txt). This suite lists its pages at [docs.affiliaterail.com/llms.txt](https://docs.affiliaterail.com/llms.txt). Point a model at either and it can answer questions without scraping HTML.

To set up or run a merchant's program, an agent connects the MCP server at `https://mcp.affiliaterail.com/mcp`. The merchant signs in, so there's no key. The agent calls `setup_guide` first. [MCP overview](/mcp) has the rest.
